Hi Im new [28 Jan 2009|03:23pm]

Hi Im new here :)
I love all the Holidays and love to celebrate each one with Decorations and Partys.

I have a Question if thats ok.

Im trying to remember the name of a Easter movie I watched as a kid.
I think it was made by Cadbury.

The Rabbit was wearing a blue vest with Yellow stripes.
and I can remember there being something about Magic Eggs.
I have been searching for the name of this movie everywhere!
I used to watch it every year at easter as a kid.

I cant wait to start chatting with you all about The Holidays!

Happy Holidays from the Home of the First Christmas Tree [22 Nov 2004|11:48am]

Greetings from Riga Latvia Northern/Eastern Europe. Growing up in the State of Washington, I have fond memories of Christmas time. Snow, family get togethers, cutting the Chtistmas Tree, ice skating on the frozen ponds and going out with my facter in the fire truck playing Christmas music over load speakers on top of the truck.

Now I am living in Latvia which looks very much like Washington State.

I just wanted to share that the first record of a Christmas Tree was in the city of Riga Latvia in the year 1510

Happy holidays to all.

hey everyone,
umm... my name's trish. i guess that i could say that i love holidays. i guess that's why i decided to join this community. well, for all of the peeps in this community, i was wondering if maybe we could do some sort of pumpkin carving contest?

maybe it would be fun. we could create our own designs and then take a picture of the finished pumpkin and post it here.

dunno, thought it would be interesting.

2 phantoms in the air | Goblin on your doorstep

One of my favorite halloween poems [28 Sep 2004|08:49pm]
This is Halloween. By Dorothy Brown Thompson

Goblins on the doorstep, Phantoms in the air,
Owls on witches' gateposts Giving stare for stare,
Cats on flying broomsticks, Bats against the moon,
Stirrings round of fate-cakes With a solemn spoon.

Whirling apple parings, Figures draped in sheets,
Dodging, disappearing, Up and down the streets,
Jack-o'-lanterns grinning, Shadows on a screen,
Shrieks and starts and laughter This is Halloween!
